A: In terms of driving experience,
The BMW 5-series will be superior in every way. The steering feel will be superior; the car will be faster and more responsive; the brakes will stop quickly and consistently. The interior materials will feel better as well.
It should be noted that the Taurus, especially the new 2010 model, is still a very good car. It is, however, aimed at a very different market segment from the BMW 5-series. The 5-series, in the base 528i trim, will be twice the price of a well equipped Taurus. Thus, the comparison is not very fair as there is no 5-series that is even close in price to the Taurus. The Taurus is marketed for middle-class buyers competing with the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Chevrolet Malibu, etc. The BMW 5-series is a luxury vehicle marketed for upper-class buyers competing with the Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6, Cadillac CTS/STS, etc.

A: No BMW will ever be to girly. They are the "Ultimate driving machine"!!

A: Disconnect the battery, or find the fuse that corresponds to the alarm, remove and replace it.

A: the best place and I mean you will not find a wider selection for less money is www.cars.com, bought 3 cars through there, 2 of them bmw.

A: Better for what?

The 7 Series is considered to be the luxury series, where as the 5 series is more of your 'everyday' BMW.

My personal favourite is a E34 535i, however, this is a much older vehicle than you are looking for, but if I bought a BMW it would be because it appealed to me, not for a status symbol.

Overall, the 7 Series is a bigger car, but it is also a lot more expensive, and uses a lot more fuel.

Personally, I would be going to the dealer and seeing which model suits your needs best. You may find that you can buy a much cheaper car that does everything you want.

A 7 Series BMW, particularly a newer one, will be very expensive for insurance, as well as for upkeep and services, and for repairs, should something go wrong.

Q: I drive a 5 series BMW now thinking of changing to a 330 diesel as it is slightly smaller?
would the driving experience change My present car is a 525i sport so would it be a mistake to swap to a 3 series sport would i notice much difference.?

A: For a start a Diesel will be cheaper to run and Diesels these days are very responsive,3 series is my choice of the BMWs it will be a touch smaller so all them parking problems you had should get better (should).You did not mention the year of car if its a old car then Diesels sound a bit rough.Good luck in your choice.

Q: How do i reset the the cd changer in a bmw 5 series?
CD ERROR/NO MAGAZINE messages...

A: There is no such thing as a reset button for a CD Error message. What is needed is to verify that there is really a magazine inserted in the CD changer, and that there are CDs loaded inside the magazine.
If the error message still comes out, try to eject/insert the magazine a couple of times and see if the message goes away and the changer works. If not, then try using a different magazine, if it works with the new, then the old magazine is defective. If the CD changer still does not work with the new
magazine, then the CD changer itself is defective.
You did not mention the year of the car, or if it has I-drive, so I can only guess about other things that could be wrong.
In certain instances, just unplugging/disconnecting the CD changer from the power source (say, overnight) can do wonders in certain models.
For your info, the 5 series has been around for many years
and there are a lot of model variations. It would be best to include the year of manufacture in all postings.

A: No, but there are sensors, it beeps when you get close to an object.

A: Question... Does your stereo work right now?

I don't know on the 5 series, but on the 3 series the wipers and the stereo are on the same fuse. If it's the fuse than both won't work.

Will a 2003 Bmw 5 series HEADLIGHT AND TAIL LIGHT fit a 1997 or 1998 or 1999 Bmw 5 series?

A: Absolutely. But it's always a good idea to see if you can get a more exact match. The styling in the headlights themselves changed a little from those years, but the actual glass should fit perfectly.

Q: My 1986 BMW 5 series, windows stopped working. What can I do myself?
They are electric and I think the switches need to be changed. Does anyone know how or what I need to do to get them to work? I also could use some advice on getting the AC to work.

A: chk the fuse .... the box is either in the trunk or under the hood or both.. you can get fuses from any autoparts store..
the AC prob needs to be recharged , that you have to get done at in a auto shop...

My aunt has an extra battery that came out of a VW, can I use it in my BMW?

A: you will have to goto the battery venders website and see if that model battery will work on the car you want to put it on.

A: Bummer, should have bought a new Ford or Lincoln. No SYNC problems there.
