Q: What is the differences between 2009 Cadillac CTS and a 2009 Ford Fusion?
I looked up both and want to buy one of the two. I want either one full loaded. I did the build thing on both websites and both vehicles have almost identical features. What is the difference? Q: Roughly how much would it cost me to rebuild a manual transmission in a ‘03 Cadillac CTS?
I am looking to rebuild my transmission because it slips out of 1st and 2nd gears. I know the CTS’s need special tools to work on the transmission. Has anyone done this and for how much? Is there anyplace to buy a rebuilt transmission for a good price?
A: Wow! You have a CTS manual? They sold like 200 a year, maybe less….. I’d go to Cadillac and suck up the repair bill. It will be expensive, but they’ll get it done right, with no shortcuts, and you’ll get a reliable warranty. Anywhere else can be shady and lack of specific knowledge about a certain car or transmission can lead to catastrophic consequences. I’ve been a tech for longer than the CTS has been produced, have worked on MANY of these cars, and never seen the manual. That tells me that an independent shop or transmission place will not have seen one, so skip them and go to the dealer for a correct repair.

Q: How can I update the gps maps on my 2009 cadillac cts?
Outside of going to the dealership and paying $199 to update the NAV system in my 2009 CTS, is there another way I could do it myself?
A: That is the only way to it is to take it to the delaership. Sorry but no other way to do it. Not really the dealerships fault, more along the line of GM & NAV
The only other suggestion is to find a reputable source online that offers upgrade CD’s but I wouldn’t use them unless they were verified as to not cause any problems.
Q: 2003 Cadillac cts a/c leak causing water to pool in the car?
I have a 2003 Cadillac cts. There is an a/c water leak underneath the center Consul. Its causing everything to get wet! I took the carpet out behind the drivers seat and water is actually pooling back there.
Any ideas on how to fix this?? I found out that it isn’t the a/c drain. But the leak is coming from the a/c.

A: Sounds like the heater core is damaged in a way that is causing it to leak. When the heter core leaks, you most always find water inside the car near your feet or under the seat. The heater core is usually located inside the dash behind or near the glove compartment. It is usually a cheap part but very difficult to replace considering it’s location. Hope this helps

A: Definitely black! Black is the best color for everything! Or a dark gray. I love the CTS!!!
Q: where can i get an 04 cadillac cts catalytic converter?
I was told that it was a factory item and I could only get it at a cadillac dealership. That would cost around 900 dollars and i don’t want to spend that much.

Q: Cadillac CTS 2003 Srvc air bag light keeps coming on ?
I have a Cad CTS 2003 and the “Service air bag light keeps coming on, on the little screen. I do not have the money to take it in, Each time I go to the dealership I never get out of there for under $500. Any opinions ?

A: You deffenetly need it to be looked at just for the pure fact that the airbags are a safety feature and if the Service light for the air bag is coming on then you may be risking your life if you were to get into a wreck. Dealerships will charge you quit a bit of money theres no real way around that unless you want to take it to a 2nd hand worker. It could be something as simple as the ignition going out or it could even be as worse as needing the sensors replaced. You should try to take it to an Autozone or O’reillys store, they can check your computer on your car for free and since it is telling you a circumstance they should be able to pull up exactly what the computer is telling you is wrong and then you can just call the dealer and tell them what exactly is wrong with the car, ask them how much it costs to fix, and ask them if its safe to keep driving the vehicle while its on. Q: How do you put your 06 Cadillac CTS into neutral when the battery is dead?
When I put my keys in, the break pedal won’t move and I am unable to shift to neutral. When I try to start, I get a series of clicking noises.
A: You don’t need power to shift. Place foot on the brake while ignition on, make the shift.

A: bmw maintainence is free for 5 years. Only benzs are high. Cadillac is cheaper because it is GM made. Audi can be costly.
Q: What is the crank center in a Cadillac CTS?
My car stalled this morning and would not start again. The dealership says that I need a new crank center.
A: I think you mean a Crank Sensor,
This sensor tells the computer where the pistons/crank is in relation to the cam shaft/valves. it uses this information the tell the spark plugs when to fire.
this is a quick fix, assuming your dealership has the part in stock it only takes about 5 min to swap out.
