Q: how to fold down the rear seats on a 55 plate Mercedes Benz C Class?
I need to lower the rear seats on a 55 plate Mercedes Benz C Class, in the boot i found 2 panels which i removed and found 2 locking clamps, (similar to what you get on doors when the door shuts its closes around it to hold it shut) but i cant find any levers or anything to release the clamps to lower the seats.
any ideas
A: Lift the boot lid. There are two flush release levers visible just below the rear window. Just pull them. No fiddling about on your knees and feeling between the seat cushions on a Merc.!

A: How much would I pay? Depends on the mileage, the condition it’s in and also if it is the sedan or coupe version of the C230.
The C-Class is a pretty good car. Just watch for premature failure of the front suspension system ( either springs and/or the multi-link suspension systems ). The 1.8L M271 engine is quite smooth and powerful but be aware that it is highly complex. If something does go wrong with the engine, it can be expensive to fix.

A: Your engine is chain driven and should not need changing unless you get any noise from it.
This engine is bullet proof and will do 200.000 no problem.

A: no major changes are planned, like Jay P said, possibly some new colors. other things being considered though are putting the more powerful SLK350’s 300hp V-6 in the 09 C350, and a more aggresive sport option package.

A: They are great cars, and that Diesel Engine is quick and so efficient, the M.P.G. is fantastic. One of the best cars on the road. I am sure that oldhomre could not handle one after driving a MK. 2 Fiesta.

In Oil Change, Just in case somethings wrong with the engine is it going to be expensive, the parts, ETC….
A: That’s a difficult question to answer because it depends on what amount of money you consider reasonable and what is expensive.
Keep in mind that all Benz models ‘98 and newer call for synthetic oil so each oil change is more expensive but the oil changes are not done as frequently as the ‘97 and older models so you pay more per oil change but do them less frequently. It evens itself out somewhat over the life of the vehicle.

I should be more detail. What I meant is, is there anyone who knows how to enable the MP3 CD playback on a 2005 C class with Comand (navi) ? I know there is a diag mode (Mult+Ok+7) but anyone knows if I can set it to it can play MP3 disc? Sister’s 06 ML has the same Comand that can play MP3 disc.
A: Have you tried putting in an MP3 CD? If it doesn’t work, check the CD, and if you know that it works in your sisters car, then you may need a reprogramming from the dealer.

For any one who thinks im spoiled, they are buying me a car because i got a full scholarship to school. So yeah.
A: First of all you don’t know what you are talking about. Second of all its gonna be super expensive. Nowadays oil changes have to be done by the dealer every like 10-15k it costs like $500. Not to mention brakes and tires,. The insurance is going to be beyond ridiculous. I am assuming you are going to get a lease. I think you are better off getting a Volvo, they have better deals and free maintenance. If you want to buy a car outright, look into an accord!!!!! They are great cars especially the Coupe!
