Q: What is the modern equivalent of a classic Ford Mustang?
30-40 years from now, what model car do you think will be similar to how we treat old Mustangs.
If I had a Mustang that was in great shape and and an awesome paint job, that would be extremely awesome. In the future, will a BMW 3 series or a Audi? Or any other car?
Thanks for your input.
A: Any car over a certain age is classic, that is why states do not discriminate between models when applying for a classic/antique/historic license/etc.. Once it hits a certain age, they are ALL classics. Beyond that, desirable models will still be low production number vehicles. I had a 1999 Saab 9-3 Viggen which had less than 500 cars with my options produced. THAT would be a classic/collector car today(as it already is) but it will all depend upon the market. The mustang is a “classic” “collectible” to a majority of the U.S. becomes a LARGE portion of the populace above the age of 30 had 1 or more in their family growing up. Owning one now brings back feelings of nostalgia. My 1973 Toyota Corolla has a very specific market(that is only getting smaller) that will only increase its value exponentially in the future. Does everyone want a 37 year old Toyota? No. Do I? Yes. It is all personal opinion.
Hope this helps, Good Luck!
Q: The downsizes of caster camber plates for Mustang?
I am planning to install a pair of caster camber plates in order to straighten up my camber and caster angle (off by 1 degree). Is this a good idea to fix the alignment angles? Any suggestions? If the one steering part may be slightly bent, is it still a good idea to fix the alignment?
03 Mustang V6.
The only problem is: people started to giving me all kinds of crazy estimates: lot of parts are bent. Who knows who’s right or wrong.
A: If it’s a bent part, it should be replaced, if the frame is bent, it should be straightened, but that’ll work..unless there is another problem..it probably won’t help the handling much, BUT should keep the tires from wearing..
Q: How much HP can a 2002 v6 Mustang safely take without damaging the engine or the transmission?
I want to add the maximum amount of horsepower to my mustang without having to change the transmission or worry about engine damage!
A: 400rwhp is the most you can safely put down without having to worry about damage to your tranny or engine. Your tranny would prob be the one that would be damaged first. At 400rwhp you will be safe. I am a total v8 muscle car guy, but I really like the v6 stangs I have seen at the track that guys have put there time and effort into. I hope you accomplish your goal and get to the 400rwhp, good luck smokin those people that dont know what you really got under the hood.
Q: What top looks better on a blue mustang?
My top is leaking and I need to get a new one. I currently have a blue mustang 2002 GT with a white top. It has a black dashboard and carpet, and white leather seats. A: I would go with a black top.

I know the firebirds went out of production due to mustang sales. Whats better Mustang or firebird? 1978-1994. Why?
A: I owned both mustangs and firebirds. Enjoyed driving either one. So all i can say is it is a matter of preference.
Q: How to remove trunk floor on a 72 mustang?
How do I remove the trunk floor of my 72 mustang? It has a bunch of surface rust and it’s all wet (from a leak) and I’m planning on using POR 15 to get rid of it. What I didn’t know was that I have to take the trunk floor out to work on it. How do I do this? Thanks.
A: here are online trunk repair instructions using KBS RustSeal. BTW, if you like por15, you’ll like this product even better.

I would like to know if there are any aftermarket tail lights for the 05-08 mustang like the ones the original 05 mustang concept has. The longer tail lights that look like the Elenor.

Q: What type of gas mileage does a 1964 mustang get?
My parents are planning on buying a used 1964 mustang. Before they put down the money for it, I want to know if I will even be able to afford driving it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
A: My guess would be around 12 mpg…but it depends on how well the engine is. You might want to ask the current owner what it gets…
Q: Will putting performance parts on an automatic mustang be as noticable as on a manual?
Just wondering if putting performance parts on a mustang will have as much if any affect on a mustang compared to a manual mustang.
My mustang is a 2008 v6 and I was planning on getting a dual cat-back exhaust system.
A: The real question is whether you’re actually putting performance parts on the car.
If you’re thinking intake, headers, exhaust, muffer, crap like that, that’s not “performance”. Whether it’s an auto or manual, you’ll barely notice it either way.
Otherwise, unless the auto is HIGHLY detrimental to the car, and causes a huge loss of power….nope, you shouldn’t notice a thing between it and a manual.
Q: will 2000 mustang transmission work in a 1998 mustang?
I have a 6 cylinder 98 mustang and its transmission is going bad and is having some problems. I am wondering if i can replace it with the transmission from a 6 cylinder 2000 mustang.
Also i have already put the rear end from the car i am getting the transmission out of(2000) in my car(1998). And it works fine on my 98.
A: yes they will work fine but check the gear ratio in the rear end
Q: What transmission oil should I use for my mustang?
I have a 2004 V6 mustang with a manual transmission. Also, how often am I supposed to change it? I think it’s about every 30k miles or so. I’ve also heard gear oil can work well.Thanks.
A: It would be best to check your owners manual. That might also have the maintenance interval. If you don’t have a manual, or it doesn’t have the schedule, you can download a PDF version of each here.
https://www.fleet.ford.com/maintenance/owners_manuals/default.asp
Fill level is outlined on page 203, and fluid type is Mercon ATF as specified on page 222. Do not mix Mercon with Mercon V, which is a synthetic. (note 3, page 223) All in Owners Manual
I don’t see fluid change for Manual Trans until 120,000 miles. (page 26 of maintenance schedule) It is under much less stress than on an Automatic Trans.
Q: What exhaust sounds the best for a 2002 mustang gt?

Q: What year does the next mustang come out?
Ford just came out with a Mustang GT 2011. But it won’t be the newest model by the time I drive, so what year does the next mustang come out?
A: They change the body style of the mustangs every 5 years. So i would say that 2015 would be the next time that they change the bodystyle.
Q: What are the best Mods for a 1994 Mustang?
